ACCURATE.
During pregnancy, a woman's body produces a hormone called HCG, found in urine and blood. A medical-strength test can detect the HCG hormone earlier than many tests, and it is over 99% accurate.  

What does a negative test mean?
A negative test means there is not an elevated amount of HCG in your system. There are a lot of reasons you could miss a period. A negative test could mean that the HCG in the specimen used was not strong enough to be detected in a urine test.

• Stress. Have you been stressed at school? Are there problems at home?
• Illness, dieting or unusually hard physical exercise.
•  Birth control change. Some types of hormonal birth control cause light periods or no periods at all. 
• Recent pregnancy. A woman’s cycle can take time to regulate after childbirth, miscarriage or  abortion.
